Royal Media Services puts a lot of emphasis to Corporate Social Responsibility and in 2016 we endeavored to invest a great deal in the Health sector. Having been a pioneering media partner to the First Lady’s Beyond Zero marathon from inception, 2016 was our year to grow the Marathon and its impact across the country.
The First Lady’s Half Marathon held on 6th March 2016 got a boost from a Ksh.25 million Royal Media Services sponsorship. The support, spread across our radio and television platforms in pre-event publicity, saw the marathon register a record over 40,000 participants, a star studded array of elite athletes and a crowded field of corporate sponsors on board.
Of course when it came to the D-Day, as usual, no one delivers a live broadcast on Marathons like Citizen TV.
