She started her journey of broadcasting 13 years back at Sheki FM, where she hosted a youth show and Taarab show. Currently she is working at Bahari FM where she hosts a mid-morning show, empowering women and youth in general.

Farida interviews guests in the studio, by telephone or on location and also plays music, reads news briefs , health tips and traffic updates.

Her unique selection of music and engaging topics of social issues remain relevant to both youth and elders. Her show remains a must tune to her loyal fans.
